  • October/November — Midland Noon Rotary’s Focus on Youth Committee
    In October, Rotarians come and make grief monsters with the kids. In November, donated funds are eligible for a matching grant of up to $4,000. Please contact Noon Rotarian Kathy Swarthout, kathys@boneandbailey.com Hearts of Love kick off also in November.
  • October 9th — Chemical Bank Cares Day
    Chemical Bank employees spend a day with the Children’s Grief Center. Among other things, this year they’re preparing Good Grief Bags, a project funded by
    Midland’s BIG GIVE to provide messenger bags with grief related books and resources for students of all ages and teachers, to every MPS library.
  • October 10 — 2nd Annual Saginaw Hearts of Hope Luncheon 
    Horizons Conference Center, 12:00-1:00pm (Doors open at 11:30) Annual Fundraiser.  Please invite any folks you have in Saginaw that may want to learn about us. Have them contact us and get on the guest list. Lunch on us!! (989) 495-9335.
  • October 11,12,13th — Train the Trainer
    Dougy Center’s Donna Schuurman will be here to Train people to train volunteers, which will allow the CGC to serve outlying areas of the GLBR and reach grieving children, teens and their families.
  • November 3rd — Northwood University’s Go Mad Day!
    Honoring Coach Riepma’s message to GO MAKE A DIFFERENCE – Northwood students volunteer at the Children’s Grief Center and make a difference for the CGC!
  • November 4th — AXE BOWL-NORTHWOOD UNIV. VS. SVSU – Football
    On behalf of Go Mad Day, spotlight on the Children’s Grief Center & Hearts of Love kick off.
  • November 16th — Children’s Grief Awareness Day
    National Day to recognize Children’s Grief and spread a little Hope with Hope the Butterfly.  Wear Blue in support of Grieving Children… Join the #CGADHOPE movement!
